AYSO Parents Share Their Snack Ideas

, we asked AYSO parents to share their favorite snack ideas with us. We received some really great responses!
AYSO mom Shannah recommends bringing slices of seedless watermelons for those hot spring, summer or fall games. “Best snack ever,” shares Shannah. “I slice the watermelon into wedges, so it's like they've got a built-in handle.”
Stephanie likes to bring organic fruit strips made with real fruit on her snack-duty day. “They come in a variety of fun flavors and are all natural with no-added sugar,” says Stephanie. “The kids love them and they are healthy!”

Note: In last month’s issue, trail mix was given as a possible snack idea for AYSO players. We’d like to remind parents that many kids have severe nut allergies and to be sure to ask your team’s parents if there are any allergies you should be aware of prior to bringing a snack including nuts to an AYSO event.
